Is Beezbites worth it even with a fee on every app order?
Net impact and ROI at a glance.
This calculator deliberately assumes that every order placed through the app is subject to commission. Card payment fees from Stripe are borne by the restaurant separately. What matters is therefore not whether existing revenue is digitised, but how little extra value per order is needed for the model to still pay off.
The scenarios below are intentionally cautious: we start from the minimum plausible effect that still makes a difference — not the best case. The focus is mainly on table upsells. Extra effects from visible events, more table reservations via form, optional delivery, or the Speisekammer shop for products such as olive oil and wine are not included. Everything the calculator shows is therefore more of a lower-bound estimate; there is plenty of room upward.
Delivery & pickup — illustrative example (not part of the ROI calculation)
This calculator models only the on-site / table rate (€0.15 + 2.49%). For delivery and pickup, €0.25 + 6.99% plus Stripe apply. At a commonly market-typical commission of about 14% for simple ordering platforms, restaurant costs on a €25 order are about €3.50. With Beezbites (6.99% + €0.25 plus Stripe, typical DE/EEA guide about 1.5% + €0.25) they are about €2.63 — roughly €0.87 less per order; at 100 orders of €25, about €87 savings potential per month. Simple ordering platforms often also charge a service fee to the guest; Beezbites does not add a separate platform service fee for the guest. Illustrative calculation; market-typical portal terms and Stripe rates are indicative and contract-dependent.
First, your real baseline figures: these two values apply to all scenarios and stay the same when you switch between Cautious, Realistic, and Strong.
